
Tom Wilson
Thomas Wilson is currently a doctoral candidate at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, with a major field of study in Clarinet Performance and Literature and a minor in Music Theory. He holds a Master of Music and Performance Diploma from the Jacobs School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from Colorado State University. His primary Teachers include Howard Klug, Eli Eban, Eric Hoeprich and Wesley Ferreira.

As an orchestral musician Thomas regularly performs with orchestras along the Colorado Front Range including the Colorado Symphony, Central City Opera, Boulder Philharmonic and the Fort Collins Symphony. He has performed under the baton of many of the world’s finest conductors including Joshua Bell, Franz Wesler-Möst, Peter Oundjan and Carl St. Clair. He was a finalist in concerto competitions at Indiana University and Colorado State University and has also enjoyed performing for summer festivals and conferences including the National Repertory Orchestra, ICA Clarinetfest and the North American Saxophone Alliance.

As an educator Thomas has been a faculty member at Vincennes University where he acted both as Instructor of Woodwinds and as director of the University’s Woodwind Ensemble. He also worked as an instructor at Indiana University’s College Audition Preparation program, helping high school students prepare for their next steps toward professional life as musicians. Thomas currently maintains a private studio in the Denver area teaching students of all ages.
